Photographers Tadas Kazakevicius and Darius Chmieliauskas had returned home after shooting a photo story in 2011 when they realized that they had no place to show their images. In their native Lithuania there were no dedicated websites for sharing photographic work and connecting with other photographers. To solve the problem, they started Latitude55. The website, which takes its name from Lithuania’s location at the 55th parallel, has become a support group as well, offering advice and collective wisdom to Lithuanian photographers.
